"Lugh Cradling a Moon" - Sterling Silver Figurine
Cast in sterling silver from an avocado stone carving by Jan Campbell.
Lugh is an important god in Irish mythology. He was a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann and was associated with skill, crafts and the arts. The Irish harvest festival of Lughnasadh is named after him. The month of August still bears his name in the modern Irish language.
Lugh sits at an inch in height and is a signature design of Avocado Stone Faces.
Each sterling silver piece is hallmarked by the Irish Assay Office, located in Dublin Castle, and is stamped with Jan's unique maker's mark.
Each piece was made and finished with caring hands. Small differences may occur from piece to piece.
